Recovery means a return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength.

Why recover?
For the blue or white collar employee, recreational or elite athletes, building in recovery days can help maintain better balance between home, work and fitness goals.

Exercise or any other physical work causes changes in the body such as muscle tissue breakdown and the depletion of energy stores as well as fluid loss.  Recovery time allows these energy stores to be replenished and allows tissue repair to occur.

To get better at a sport or to enhance your personal fitness, or even tend to aches and pain from a days work, you must expose your body to stresses.  But upon completion of these activities the human body needs to adapt to the stresses it just underwent, and this is where recovery is needed because neglecting the recovery stage can lead to injuries.

At Finesse Motion Therapy we can formulate a sixty (60) minute program to optimize your recovery. We us recovery strategies such as:

Manual Stretching – techniques used to relax tense muscles and restricted joints in an effort to decrease pain and improve range of motion. Starting at $65.00

Thermal Modalities –  heating and cooling agents and techniques, such as heat/ice packs that are applied to a person in order to produce a measurable change in tissue temperature to facilitate the ultimate therapeutic healing. Starting at $30.00

Cupping – therapy using suction cups for deep tissue pain relief, remove fluid stagnation, stimulate blood flow to facilitate tissue healing. Starting at $30.00

Dry Needling – a skilled intervention that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. Starting at $30.00
